When he Googled the incident, he found “horror stories” of people taking their lives or having to pay “tens of thousands of pounds”. Mr O’Reilly was asked to pay €300 in exchange for the video not getting leaked.

He said the video was quick and short but it was followed by a messages from the same person with screenshots of his ex, family, friends on Facebook, and his LinkedIn work details which said: “OK, we’re going to send this to everybody you know."
